WhatsApp Latest Updates – Search Message by Date, Camera Shortcut For iPhones, and Group Chats

WhatsApp users will soon be able to search messages by date on the app. This feature allows users to jump to a particular date in order to read messages. This feature is useful when users need to find out which messages were sent on a particular date.

The search ‘message date’ feature of the search engine is currently in development. The meta-owned instant messaging app WhatsApp has added several new features to improve the user experience.

WhatsApp has added several new features to its messaging app, including emoji responses for messages, surveys, and the ability to transfer chats between iOS and Android. It also allows you to mute specific people on voice calls.

WaBetaInfo reports that the instant messaging app works on searching messages by date. WaBetaInfo first noticed the feature in 2020, but it wasn’t in their plans to release it to the public. WhatsApp plans to release the feature again after releasing the WhatsApp beta version for iOS 22.0.19.73 from TestFlight.

What is the function of searching messages by date on WhatsApp?

This feature is currently in development. Once the feature is released users will be able to see a new icon for their calendar when searching for messages in a conversation. Users can jump quickly to a specific date and start reading messages starting on that date by using a calendar icon.

To close the date view, users must scroll through the conversation. This feature is very useful, especially if users need to see which messages were sent on a particular date.

WhatsApp is working on a feature that allows you to send an email to yourself using both the desktop version of the WhatsApp survey feature and the desktop version. After receiving an invitation, users can use the survey feature to give feedback on new products and services.

Although it is not clear when these features will roll out, we will soon be able to test them in the beta version of WhatsApp.

Camera Shortcut For iPhone users: Here How’s It Works

WhatsApp is working on a shortcut to the camera for iPhone users. WaBetaInfo reports that Meta’s instant messaging app, WhatsApp beta has been submitted for iOS 22.19.0.75 which indicates that the camera shortcut is in development for iPhones. It will be located in the navigation bar. Users who create communities in the future will see the shortcut.

WhatsApp’s camera shortcut will enable users to quickly access their camera from within the app. WhatsApp currently has a camera tab. However, it will be replaced by the Communities tab.

According to the report, the camera shortcut for iPhones is similar to that on Android. The feature is still in development, and it is not yet available for users.

WhatsApp released an updated camera shortcut earlier this week to Android beta users, allowing them to create a group. The shortcut was not visible to users without the camera tab due to a bug. WhatsApp released a bug fix in the 2.22.20.5 beta, but it didn’t work. The feature was eventually removed from the Android beta.

Whatsapp Working on Group Chat’s Updates

WHATSAPP is making major changes to group chats. A preview of an upcoming update shows that the Meta-owned chat app is currently testing a way for multiple groups to be managed simultaneously.

Communities, a brand new feature that has been in development for several months, will be available in a future update.

According to WhatsApp sleuths WABetaInfo, each Community acts as a “group” for all your existing WhatsApp Groups.

The website, which crawls beta versions of WhatsApp updates to find upcoming features, posted details about how Communities will work in a blog post.

Facebook groups are a popular way to chat within the app. However, having multiple groups can be confusing and difficult to track.

WABetaInfo, WhatsApp’s sleuths, have previously discovered images and references to “Community”, on WhatsApp. A Beta version of the full features is now available. It allows you to organize Groups.

Once it is rolled out it will allow you to message multiple groups at the same time. You could, for example, have a Work Community with many smaller Groups. Perhaps your area has a Community that splits into groups for schooling or complaining about issues in the neighborhood.

WABetaInfo stated that it is a private area where group admins have greater control over certain groups on WhatsApp. It is a group chat and admins can link to other groups within the Community.

WABetaInfo said that it would be possible to reach all people at once through messages sent to all members of the groups connected to the community. WhatsApp has not yet confirmed the date or if this feature will be available to the public.
